Warm-Edge Technology

More than 80% of the insulating characteristics of a window depend on the reliability of an insulating glass (IG) unit. Therefore, ETNA not only uses traditional materials and technologies in its production process, but it also manufactures modern warm-edge insulating glass units that save up to 25% of heat. Moreover, ETNA uses Swissparer plastic frames developed by Saint Gobain: they save up to 20% of heat.

Another modern technology is Swiggle Strip that is currently known as TruSeal. It ensures excellent insulation, reliability, and durability of the insulating glass. ETNA is the first insulating glass producer in Lithuania to have adopted the warm-edge Swiggle Strip technology for manufacturing IG units. It is now able to produce up to 1000 warm edge IG units per day.

Furthermore, ETNA uses TGI and Rolltech Chromatech Ultra spacers for the production of the warm-edge insulating glass. The IG units with warm-edge frames currently make up approx. 50% of the production. ETNA also has a capacity to work with Edgtech Super Spacer profiles.

ETNA’s most recent product is an IG unit with photovoltaic cells that is manufactured in cooperation with a scientific producer AB Precizika.

Glass for Facades

As an experienced specialist our company produces high quality insulating glass for frameless façade systems and supplies material and technologies for reliable and durable IG units fixing to the bearing structure of the building.

Glass used by „ETNA“ prevents the loss of warmth in the winter time and reduces the cost of room air conditioning in the summer time.

TGI Frame

TGI frame is another kind of warm edge technology. This frame is elastic plastic frame, reinforced with steel bar strip. The main advantage of this frame is that it has only one joint. Four joints, that were necessary before, allowed moisture to penetrate sealant and go into IG unit easy through corners. This risk is reduced now with TGI frame, since it has no joints at corners – only joint is somewhere along the side of the unit. General warm insulation of IG unit is 17 – 25 % higher with TGI spacer

The main advantage of this frame is that it has only one joint.
